Sooooo… is the message the Nice Guy™ photoshop wizard is trying to convey that “Good Guys” are an alien species that feels entitled to invade the women’s space for its own edification, while the “Asshole” is a companion species that offers a mutually beneficial relationship?

They may have accidentally had a moment of self-awareness.

Pretty sure the “good guy” also eats those fish, hence why they’re avoiding him. The “asshole” doesn’t eat those fish and is pretty gentle to them, hence why they feel safe enough to hold onto them. What a nice asshole.

Okay time for a rant. This post is really pissing me off and here’s why.

1. No where in the Bible does it say God “hates fags” the entire message of the Bible is love. That’s the core message and anyone who says otherwise hasn’t read it.

2, “worship us hardcore or you go to hell” is just bullshit. All you need for eternal love is to accept Jesus as your saviour you don’t need to go to church or do any rituals if you don’t want to but you sure as hell can if that’s your thing.

3. “you better love everyone around you and God a lot,” the message of the Bible is love as I said early, so you’re expected to try to live your life in love. (could you imagine the amount of problems this would solve if everyone lived like that?!) but God knows you’re not perfect, He knows you can’t but He just wants you to try.

4. Respecting people is a good thing. Again it’s the same principle as number three.

Satanism is dark shit. All this light fluffy stuff you see floating around tumblr is the gateway stuff. It’s to draw you in. My mom has a friend that was raised within a Satanist group. She was raped on an alter as a sacrifice by a priest in front of the entire church several times; her and several other children. She was bled for Satanic blood rituals as a child. Her childhood was stolen from her and she was traumatized. She was lucky to escape.

Don’t get me wrong guys, I love Supernatural. I just know what’s fictional and whats not. I can love God and thoroughly enjoy the show too.

So just please, please stop with this post and others like it, because it makes me sick to my stomach every time I see them. both religions are being horribly misrepresented.

yo there’s a difference between LaVeyan Satanism and traditional Satanism. LaVeyan Satanists believe in the basic principles and beliefs like the ones in the photo, and it’s what almost anybody nowadays is referring to when they say “Satanism.” They are atheists who don’t believe in blood rituals or the other nasty things OP mentioned. Additionally, it has nothing to do with Supernatural and claiming that it does is really ignorant.

Now, Christianity has many sects. It’s not the majority that believes you are saved by faith alone. That belief came in with Martin Luther in the sixteenth century, i.e. 1500 years after Christianity originated. I’m not entirely sure what groups other than Lutherans hold that belief, but I do know that at least Catholics - a Christian group with 1.2 BILLION members worldwide - do not believe in salvation by faith alone. They believe that you can’t go to heaven without regular worship and confession.

Catholics also believe that homosexuality dooms you to an eternity in hell. Again, 1.2 billion is a very large number of people, and there are plenty of other people who use their Christianity as an excuse for homophobia.

There are so many different sects of Christianity because people have had so many different, varying beliefs and interpretations of the Bible. The post in the photo is regarding beliefs that are held by millions and millions of Christians, even if they aren’t held by you personally. Your horror story has no reflection on LaVeyan Satanism, which is simply a belief system.

You’re making blanket statements that don’t have a lot of basis in fact. Neither religion is being horribly misrepresented by the photo post, and it’s not “shaming” a religion to criticize it. There are plenty of things wrong with Christianity as an institution and it’s very egotistical of you to think otherwise.

You want Satanists to stop shaming your religion? Maybe you should stop shaming theirs.

Have I ever mentioned how much I adore Andersen stories and how much I research them? Have I ever mentioned that The Little Mermaid is an incredibly loose adaptation of the original Andersen Story?

Well, this version of The Snow Queen makes Disney’s The Little Mermaid look like a sincere retelling.

I’m not even upset that she looks like Rapunzel. I don’t give a rat’s ass about the character designs anymore because Disney’s graduated from sipping that Koolaid to straight up swigging bleach when it comes to their characters.

THE AMAZING THING ABOUT THE SNOW QUEEN STORY IS THAT IT IS ABOUT A LITTLE GIRL NAMED GERDA WHO GOES ON AN INCREDIBLY HARROWING ADVENTURE TO RESCUE A LITTLE BOY. AND SHE MAKES THIS DECISION ON HER OWN. AND SHE FIGHTS AWAY THE PEOPLE WHO TRY TO HOLD HER BACK. GERDA IS A KICKASS LITTLE GIRL.

BUT NO. DISNEY CAN’T HAVE THAT. ONLY LITTLE BOYS FILL THEATRE SEATS, WAAAAHHH WAAAAHHH WAAAAAHHHHHH.

Disney is SO averse to having a willful, female hero WITH TOTAL AGENCY, who ISN’T under the thumb of her parent or some idiot GUY, that they’re going to GUT a PERFECTLY GOOD STORY to make the damn thing more marketable. Take a cue from Miyazaki - girl heroes can SELL.

I am 5000% done with Disney.

What gets me is how blatant the marketing change is for this one.

It’s upsetting that Disney is taking this approach with their present films, because the most celebrated part of Disney’s legacy—the Disney Renaissance—was built on stories about coming-of-age stories about girls with full agency. They were marketted as “family films,” never “princess/girl films.”

Actually, I remember in the Making Of segments of The Little Mermaid (the first of the Disney Renaissance classic films), there was a portion where the studio of animators were told not to get their hopes up, that it was a “girl movie” and “girl movies never do well.” …And, of course, the movie made bank, and the rest is history.

Even knowing this, even knowing it’s what made them the juggernaut they are today, they still feel like if they don’t shallowly appeal to boys they’ll fail? Really?

One of my male cousins adored The Little Mermaid as a child. Honestly, pretty much all of the “princess” films can appeal to everyone. I hate how the male demographic is all that Disney’s worried about nowadays. It drives me mad.

And you know what’s funny? It seems that “girl movies” have almost always saved that particular studio’s ass. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the highest grossing film of all time upon its initial release. Cinderella saved the studio from bankruptcy in 1950. The Little Mermaid brought Disney animation back in full force after the long dry period which resulted after Walt’s death in 1966. “Girl movies always fail”? Bah!

A great addendum I forgot to mention. It’s like Disney needs a lesson on their own history.
